Steering the Ship to replace Scalia

IMG_7949Most insiders believe President Obama has narrowed his Supreme Court search to just three names.

Paul Watford, on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals

Merrick Garland, Chief Judge for the D.C. Appeals Court

Sri Srinivasan, on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia

But is the President still steering the ship to replace Scalia?  The President could choose to throw out any name controversial, political, Trump but it may have little effect.  Any potential nominee’s name will land squarely in the lap of the Senate.  For the foreseeable future, it appears the Senate is out of the confirmation/appointment business.

Will this change?

We all know the Supreme Court is a key part of Government. But does the American Public care about the day to day infighting on Capitol Hill and the Supreme Court.  Time will tell if Political pressure has an effect on Senators.  Many of these Senators strongly believe the next President and voters should decide who’ll be the next Supreme Court Justice.
